After months of work, our new manuscript by the postdoc team Prasanth and Belinda has now been published in Frontiers in Microbiology!
The article describes the occurrence of secondary bacteria infections in patients suffering from respiratory viral infections, such as coronaviruses (SARS-CoV-2) or influenza. We outline the potential of therapeutic phages and phage-derived therapeutic proteins to prevent or treat such bacterial infections which have a major impact on disease progression.
