I am honored to share that I have been elected to join the Scientific Steering Committee of the DZIF TransPhageNet, a network within the German Center for Infection Research (DZIF) dedicated to advancing phage therapy in Germany.

TransPhageNet plays a pivotal role in fostering collaboration between researchers, clinicians, and policymakers to overcome challenges in implementing phage therapy as a treatment option for bacterial infections, particularly those caused by multi-drug-resistant pathogens. Being part of this dynamic group allows me to contribute to shaping the future of phage therapy in Germany and beyond.

I am excited to collaborate with leading experts in the field and help drive innovative approaches to harness bacteriophages in combating antimicrobial resistance. This is an incredible opportunity to contribute to translational research and support the establishment of phage therapy as a viable clinical option.
