We are delighted to announce that the Leptihn Lab is relocating to Germany, marking an exciting new chapter in our journey! Group leader Sebastian Leptihn has been appointed Professor of Biochemistry at the HMU Health and Medical University in Erfurt. In addition to his academic role, Sebastian will also work at the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology (IZI) in Leipzig, contributing to cutting-edge research in phage therapy and antimicrobial biotechnology.

This new chapter illustrates our focus on delivering important science in antimicrobial research and biochemistry for real-world applications. With a dual base in Erfurt and Leipzig, the lab will continue its mission of tackling global health challenges, with a special focus on innovative solutions to combat antimicrobial resistance.

We look forward to building new collaborations and exploring the vibrant scientific communities in Erfurt and Leipzig. Stay tuned for updates as the Leptihn Lab establishes itself in its new home!
