We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Belinda Loh, senior postdoctoral fellow in the Leptihn Lab, has been appointed as a group leader at the prestigious Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology (IZI) in beautiful Leipzig!

Belinda will lead the newly established research unit “Antimicrobial Biotechnology,” focusing on the applied aspects of phage therapy and the innovative use of phage proteins as anti-infective compounds. This exciting role will enable her to advance research at the intersection of biotechnology and infectious disease control, paving the way for novel therapeutic solutions.

Belinda’s outstanding work in phage biology and her dedication to combating antimicrobial resistance have been pivotal in her journey to this esteemed position.
